Kathleen Tidwell Mayes

Kathleen Tidwell Mayes, 91, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Atlanta, GA after a brief illness.

Ms. Mayes was born in Cassatt, SC on September 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Fletcher and Ellen Elliott Tidwell. She was a longtime and faithful member of Southside Baptist Church.

Ms. Mayes was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael W. Mayes. She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Entz of Conyers, GA; son, Michael Mayes of Savannah; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

The funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
